Who we are
While global warming presents an enormous challenge, Eigen Ventures believe it is a challenge that can be matched though ingenuity and innovation. The International Energy Agency (IEE) estimate that approximately 35% of emissions reductions needed to meet net zero by 2050 will likely come from technologies which are not yet commercially available. Hence why Eigen is so passionate about accelerating the successful commercialisation and adoption of impactful climate tech innovations.
The climate tech sector is a huge opportunity for UK plc. The UK is at the forefront of the market attracting a staggering £12.5 billion in growth-stage equity and VC funding for climate tech ventures between 2019 to 2024, outpacing both the US and China. Furthermore, corporates who roll-out low carbon approaches within their operations and value chain can benefit from cost savings and stronger competitive position.
We are first-movers in climate tech acceleration
Since 2006, Eigen Ventures' founder and Associates have worked with innovators, SMEs, financiers, public sector, academia and business to help bring several hundred sustainable and low-carbon technologies to market.
